FORKLIFT FUNCTION:
Fork Positioning
Fork positioning function is a one of the more popular functions required by an attachment. It’s main function is to move the fork arms laterally across the carriage. It differs to sideshifting in that the fork arms move simultaneously but in opposite directions.
Other forms of forkpositioning is Load positioning. Load positioning is where fork positioning occurs whilst the forks are under load. While clamping also shares the same lateral movement as forkpositioning the main difference is forkpositioning is not designed to clamp goods. For this reason Clamping is covered under another function heading.
